Privacy and personal data
This page explains which personal data the shop collects, what it is used for, who receives it and how long it is kept, in line with the UK GDPR. Your rights and the data controller appear in the fixed section.
The data we collect
Your basket is kept in your own browser, on your device, until you order or empty it. If you tick the box provided for this, we also keep your email address and the contents of your basket so that we can send you a reminder. When you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any photos you attach to it.
When you place an order, we collect what the sale and the delivery require: your name, your delivery address, your email address, your phone number and the contents of your order. Your card details are never entered on our site and never reach us: you type them on Stripe's secure payment page, and Stripe processes them.
What it is used for and who receives it
We use this data to process and deliver your order, to send you the confirmation and tracking emails, and to answer your questions before and after purchase, including returns and exchanges. We do not sell your data. Each provider that helps us receives only what it needs for its own task, and nothing more.
The recipients are Stripe, which processes the payment; the carrier and the warehouse holding the local stock, which receive your name, address and phone number to prepare and deliver your parcel; and the website host named in our legal notice, whose servers run the site. Nobody else receives your order data from us.
Basket reminders and retention periods
Basket reminders are sent only if you have given your explicit consent by ticking the box provided. You receive three at most. They stop as soon as you buy, or as soon as you click the unsubscribe link in any of them. The email address and basket contents kept for reminders are deleted after 30 days, even if you have not ordered.
Order data is kept for as long as needed to deliver your order and handle any return, exchange or question, then for the period required by our accounting and tax obligations. Messages sent to customer service are kept as long as needed to follow up your request. To access, correct or delete your data, see the fixed section of this page.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site sets no advertising or audience measurement cookies and loads no advertising or analytics script.
Only what the shop needs stays in your browser: your cart (local storage) and, during payment, the language of the order in progress (session storage). These are required for the service you ask for, so they do not need your consent; you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
